Proposition S

The Central Plant Upgrade project will provide new central chilled water, hot water, and primary electrical systems to replace the campus’ existing central and localized utilities as well as to feed the new campus facilities coming on line over the next six years and beyond. These new systems will be generated from a new central plant building to be located east of Building “L”.

In addition to new chilled water, hot water and primary electrical systems, this project will replace all or most of the existing chilled water, hot water and primary electrical distribution systems. These new distribution systems will be routed in a fashion to minimize campus disruption and to allow for timely and short switchover periods.
